Garam Masala Powder
Garam Masala is a mix of whole spices which are toasted and ground into a fine powder and is very popular in Indian cuisine. According to Ayurveda, this masala means the “heat to body” and is known to elevate body temperature due to the lovely blend of Indian spices. Unlike the other spices, this masala is usually added towards the end of the cooking process. Other than imparting a strong taste, it is known to promote weight loss, boost immunity and aid digestion. It contains a mixture of spices such as cinnamon, coriander, cumin, bay leaves, fennel, nutmeg and dried chillies. This all-purpose spice blend adds warm, sweet flavour to chicken, lamb, potatoes and breads.
